In January 2020, The Fortuna Sunrise Rotary Club established a fund to assist students in the pursuit of their scholastic goals and projects.  The fund is not large, but is broad-based and will consider any worthwhile endeavor to aid applicants in achieving their identified academic goals. For example, support could help in expenses for research supplies or travel, attending conferences, competitions, or workshops, or any other applicant- identified project that will help them attain their goals. The applications will be competitive and limited by available funding at the time of an application submission which will be ongoing. The fund is restricted to students living in and/or attending school within the Fortuna Union High School District service area, and grades 5 through 14. Applicants under age 18 must provide written parental consent. The fund will consider project merit, financial need, and potential for success in promoting student advancement toward an identified scholastic goal. The fund requires a brief written report.
